Full program of AES67 presentations and sessions
Media Networking Alliance, Bothell, Washington, USA, 10 October 2017. The Media Networking Alliance (MNA) – the non-profit trade association, established to promote the adoption of the AES67 standard – is mounting an AES67 knowledge fest at this year’s New York convention, with a diverse set of sessions and presentations, both introductory and application specific.
Following acceptance by SMPTE of the new ST 2110 suite of standards for real-time media transport over IP and the critical role of AES67 in defining the audio component of these, half of all sessions focus on the role of AES67 in an IP based future for the broadcast industry. The inclusion of AES67, in defining the audio element of the new SMPTE ST 2110 standard, acknowledges the rapid and widespread adoption of the standard in providing signal interoperability across all of the current leading IP based audio networking protocols.

Of immense practical benefit to those working in applications involving the integration of multiple proprietary audio networking systems, will be the Network Audio Track Event session NA07, in room 1E10, “How to Leverage AES67 to Integrate Multiple Networked Audio Systems”. This is an abridged version of the “workshop demonstration and discussion” session presented at the ISE earlier this year. The session will cover topics including a description of AES67, how to plan for AES67 deployments, discovery and connection management options and how they work with AES67. The session will also include practical demonstrations of all networking technologies and troubleshooting steps in a multi-technology solution. There will also be a general discussion about some key and relevant network technologies.
The MNA booth – #944 – will provide a one-stop resource and contact point for all things AES67, including a full guide to all member companies’ activities during the convention and on the exhibition floor. The booth will be staffed throughout the show by member AoIP networking specialists, on-hand to address everyone’s AES67 enquiries.

Among AES67 specific demonstrations on members’ booths, COVELOZ/Ross Video will be demonstrating AES67 in the context of SMPTE ST 2110 (booth N253) and Lawo (booth #824) will feature the RAVENNA/AES67 demonstration rack.

About Media Networking Alliance
The Media Networking Alliance is a non-profit organization formed to actively promote the adoption of the AES67 audio networking interoperability standard. Currently comprising 30 member companies, the MNA includes a range of professional audio equipment manufacturers, as well as public broadcast corporations. The MNA provides a forum and environment whereby the members of the organisation may meet to review standards development and compliance programmes and to foster the development of new products based on the AES67 standard. This open standard is promoted by the MNA through a range of education and training initiatives, as well as through public demonstrations of audio networking interoperability. Developer support is provided by the MNA to ensure that members’ products are compliant with the AES67 standard and achieve reliable interoperability with products from other manufacturers.
